Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane believes that investing in his offensive line keeps franchise quarterback Josh Allen healthy and upright.
Beane has done a terrific job securing continuity on the offensive line throughout his tenure. That’s why it’s notable that starting guard O’Cyrus Torrence is on an expiring contract.
Torrence has been a high-level blocker since the Bills drafted him in 2023. If Torrence tests free agency next offseason, Beane might have to draft his successor. That’s precisely what happens in this latest 2027 mock draft from On Sports Illustrated.
This scenario has the Bills drafting Ohio State interior lineman Austin Siereveld at No. 31 overall. Sidenote: that means the Bills would represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
“The Buffalo Bills have guard O’Cyrus Torrence on an expiring contract,” NFL Draft On SI wrote. “It could be difficult to retain him as the Bills are currently projected to be $34 million over the cap next offseason. Ohio State guard Austin Siereveld possesses terrific size and power throughout his pro-ready frame.”
Siereveld should be an excellent asset for a high-scoring Ohio State offense in 2026. Siereveld possesses an opportunity to establish himself as a first-round selection this coming college football campaign. Guard should already appear on the Bills’ watchlist.
