Is Caitlin Clark playing today? Fever injury update vs. Storm

Caitlin Clark revealed some wonderful news on Monday night as she and Nike unveiled her signature brand logo.

But, unfortunately, it doesn’t coincide with a return to the floor for Clark. The Indiana Fever (19-18) ruled Clark out of Tuesday’s contest versus the Seattle Storm (20-18) with her right groin injury. It’s now the 16th straight regular-season game that Clark has missed with her right groin injury.

Clark has missed 25 regular-season games and 26 games overall, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final.

While Clark will miss Tuesday’s pivotal contest versus the Storm, it does finally seem as though the 6-foot superstar has made some form of progress recently.

Clark participated in the Fever’s shootaround before its Sunday game at the Minnesota Lynx. According to the IndyStar’s Chloe Peterson, the former Hawkeye legend also went through warmups and some non-contact drills with the Fever’s second team.

Although the star guard has not officially returned to practice, it was Clark’s first time working with the team since her injury.

Clark has played in 13 games this season, averaging 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, 5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 36.7% from the field and 27.9% from 3-point range.
