On Wednesday, the final roster cuts were made, leaving each team with its set roster for the season openers this weekend. For Iowa women’s basketball fans, there will be plenty of different opportunities to watch some former Hawks in action.

In total, there are four different former Hawkeyes on WNBA rosters this season. Here’s a look at each one and when to check out their 2026 season debut.

Caitlin Clark: Indiana Fever

2026 season opener: Saturday, May 9, vs Dallas Wings at noon CST

Clark is the most prominent and well-known former Hawk in the WNBA currently. The 2024 Rookie of the Year was limited to just 13 games last season, but she looks healthy and poised for a monster bounce-back campaign. The Fever open their season on Saturday against the Wings, a game that can be seen on ABC.

Megan Gustafson: Portland Fire

2026 season opener: Saturday, May 9, vs the Chicago Sky at 8 p.m. CST

The longest-tenured Hawkeye in the WNBA finds herself on one of the newest teams the league has to offer. The Fire are one of two new teams joining the WNBA this season, and they’ll play their first regular-season game ever on Saturday night. Fans can watch Gustafson and Portland on NBA TV.

Lucy Olsen: Washington Mystics

2026 season opener: Friday, May 8, vs the Toronto Tempo at 6:30 p.m. CST

Olsen got great news on Wednesday when she found out she made the Mystics’ regular-season roster. Olsen had a very successful offseason in Australia, where she played professionally to hone her craft. Fans can check out her improvement when the Mystics visit the Tempo on Friday, a game that can be seen on ION.
