After initially being listed as questionable for today’s game against the Seattle Storm, the Indiana Fever have ruled center Aliyah Boston out with a leg injury as part of their pregame injury update.
During the Fever’s eventual 104-102 overtime loss against the Washington Mystics, Boston checked out with 2:01 left in the third quarter, went back to the locker room and then never returned.
The former South Carolina Gamecock finished with nine points on 3-of-8 shooting in 21 minutes of play.
Boston has been working back from a lower leg injury she suffered in late February during her offseason play with Unrivaled. This forced her to miss the Unrivaled playoffs, the FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournament in March, and then the Fever’s first two preseason games in April.
Despite Boston’s latest injury occurring in the same area as the offseason ailment, it is still unknown whether it is a reaggravation or an entirely new setback for the three-time WNBA All-Star.
The Fever’s Sunday matchup against Seattle will tips off at 5 p.m. CT and will air on NBC Sports Network and stream on Peacock.
