After a chaotic meeting on Day 2 of the Lubbock Regional, Texas Tech softball and Ole Miss matched up again in the finals and didn’t need the theatrics to finish things out.
Texas Tech put together another eight-run inning, this one coming in the third, and coasted to a 14-2 victory to clinch its second Lubbock Regional title in a row. The Red Raiders are headed back to the Super Regional where they’ll take on Florida in Gainesville.
Jackie Lis drove in five runs and Kaitlyn Terry pitched four quality innings before NiJaree Canady closed things out in the fifth.

3:12 p.m.: Texas Tech softball had runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out but cant cash in. Ole Miss up to bat.
2:21 p.m.: Kaitlyn Terry gets the start in the circle for Texas Tech softball. Emilee Boyer gets the start for Ole Miss. First pitch in about 45 minutes.

1:26 p.m.: Florida has finished off a 5-2 win over Georgia Tech to advance to the Super Regionals. Either Texas Tech softball or Ole Miss will head to Gainesville next week for a spot in the Women’s College World Series.
