Indiana Fever injury report, Aliyah Boston update

After exiting the Indiana Fever’s (1-2) eventual 104-102 overtime loss against the Washington Mystics (2-1) in the third quarter with a reported lower leg injury, the team has provided an injury status update for the three-time WNBA All-Star center Aliyah Boston.

Boston played 21 minutes against the Mystics on Friday night before she exited late in the third quarter and didn’t return. Boston scored nine points against Washington on 3-of-8 shooting.

Boston is listed as questionable with a lower leg injury for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Storm (1-2) in the Fever’s injury report.

Boston has been working back from a lower leg injury she suffered in Unrivaled in late February. That injury forced her to miss the Fever’s first two preseason games, and she was on a minutes restriction to start the season.

While there is still no publicly known information on when Boston suffered the injury Friday night or what exactly is hampering the former South Carolina Gamecock, the latest update at least gives the Fever hope that she can play against the Storm on Sunday evening.

The Fever’s Sunday matchup against Seattle will tip off at 5 p.m. CT and will air on NBC Sports Network and stream on Peacock.
