Did you know… where this photo was taken? This was taken of a worker high atop the Perry water tower, shown here from years past. Workers are now in the process of repainting the tower inside and out this year. Years ago, it was not uncommon for Perry youth to climb the tower. A fence and other security measures have stopped that pastime. With my fear of heights, I was never interested in taking part in that activity. When I travel out of town, on my return, I’m always amazed at how far from Perry you can first see the water tower.
