Miami Trace 42, Waverly 21: The Tigers dropped their season opener against the visiting Panthers.
Gunnar Myers completed 27 of 47 passes for 229 yards, and Hez Nelson caught 13 passes for 132 yards.
The Panthers rushed for 534 yards. Julian Baker finished with 357 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 21 carries to lead Miami Trace.
