Caitlin Clark points: How many for Team USA star vs. Senegal?

During Team USA’s resounding 110-46 win over Senegal in its first game of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Wednesday, how many points did Caitlin Clark score in her return to play?

In her 19 minutes played against Senegal from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Clark scored 17 points, including 4-for-5 from 3-point range and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. She also added 12 assists and one rebound to round out her first game played in 239 days.

While Rhyne Howard led the team in points with 21, Clark’s ability to score and distribute the ball left Team USA head coach Kara Lawson in awe of the former Hawkeye.

“Caitlin brings this dynamic play to the offensive end,” Lawson said. “As much as she is dynamic as a scorer, she’s one of the most dynamic playmakers in the world as well.”

Clark and Team USA continue their round-robin style play in the World Cup Qualifier Tournament on Thursday, March 12, when the Americans play Puerto Rico at 7 p.m. CT.
