Previewing Colts cornerback position ahead of 2026 NFL draft

With the 2026 NFL draft near, we will be taking a position-by-position look at where things stand with the Indianapolis Colts.

The draft will take place from Apr. 23-25. The Colts have a modest seven draft picks at the moment, including just two in the top 100. GM Chris Ballard, however, has hinted strongly at wanting to gain additional capital. That, in part, could come from trading Kenny Moore.

What is the need at cornerback for the Colts?

Kenny Moore is on the roster for now, but that could change by the end of the NFL draft. Even without Moore, the Colts still have a strong cornerback room — especially if Walley can be the player that Indianapolis believes he can — so I don’t know that Moore’s leaving drastically changes the match at this position heading into the draft. But the likelihood of the Colts spending some sort of pick on the cornerback spot has increased for the reasons mentioned.

Top cornerback prospects in the 2026 NFL draft

With help from the consensus big board, here are the top cornerback prospects in this year’s draft class outside of the top 30, with the Colts’ first selection coming at 47th overall.
