A new coffee spot is coming to El Paso’s West Side.
Dutch Bros. Coffee was launched as a pushcart in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992 and has since expanded to dozens of locations across the country. Originally focused on a good cup of coffee, the franchise now offers a variety of coffees, energy drinks, matcha, sparkling sodas, snacks and more.
In addition to offering a variety of drinks and snacks, the company emphasizes philanthropy through its Dutch Bros. Foundation, which gives back to communities through donations, grants, and targeted giveback days.
Where is it?
The new Dutch Bros. Coffee location will be at 135 Shadow Mountain Drive, according to the city’s permit and licensing page.
Located near the intersection of Mesa Street and Sunland Park Drive, the new Dutch Bros. site is located next door to a Chase Bank and just down the street from a Walgreens and Pelican’s Steak and Seafood. Several businesses are also nearby, including Coronado Barber Shop, Moca House Cafe, Taco Cabana, Burger King and Taco Bell, as well as Desert Peaks and Seville West apartments.
What was there before?
The new Dutch Bros. on the West Side is being constructed on a currently vacant lot.
The new location will be a drive-thru coffee shop, though the city’s website does not include information related to square-footage or the details of construction.
Who is the contractor?
The contractor for the project is not listed on the city’s website, but the applicant is Michael Beck of Core States Group in Kent, Washington. The owner is listed as Wes Butero.
The project is valued at $185,000.
