Time to mark your calendars for fair season in Livingston County

The Livingston County Agriculture Fair kicked off the fair season that will conclude in September with Harvest Days in Dwight.

Although there are other events taking place, such as the Cullom Junior Fair (Aug. 6-9) and Cornell Days (Sept. 5-7), the main events coming up are the Fairbury Fair, Central States Threshermen’s Reunion and Dwight Harvest Days.

Fairbury Fair

What: The 149th annual Fairbury Fair

When: Aug. 13-17

Where: 600 S. 3rd St. in Fairbury

Grandstand highlights: The One In Christ Christian Concert 6:30 p.m. Aug. 14, Oak Ridge Boys 7:30 p.m. Aug. 15, stock car racing 5:15 p.m. Aug. 16, demolition derby 2 p.m. Aug. 17.

Central States Threshermen’s Reunion

What: The 77th meeting of the Central States Threshermen’s Reunion

When: Aug. 28-Sept. 1

Where: 14975 E. 2200 North Road, Pontiac

Highlights: Massey Expo of North America, general store, farm museum, 1900 country school house, Singer Saw Mill, blackshop, 1920 Conoco Gas Station, trading post, flea market, tractor drive, annual parade.

Dwight Harvest Days

What: 47th annual Dwight Harvest Days

When: Sept. 18-21

Where: downtown Dwight

Highlights: Harvest Days Car Show 3 to 7 p.m., Sept. 19, Bassett Waddle and parade 12:45 p.m. Sept. 21.
