A tornado watch has been declared for parts of Illinois including Winnebago and Stephenson counties. It remains in effect until 8 p.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday, mainly after 5 p.m., and some of the storms could be severe.

After the weather clears on Saturday, frost is expected Saturday night and Sunday night.
