PEORIA – A partial power outage has forced the Neighborhood House to temporarily cancel services and close its building.
“We are working to have our power back and services restored as soon as possible,” the local nonprofit said in a statement on Facebook. “Updates will be posted on our social media as we learn more.”
The issue means services such as Meals on Wheels – a program that provides food to seniors in Peoria and Tazewell counties – will not take place Tuesday, July 21.
Established 130 years ago, Neighborhood House operates at 1020 S. Matthew St. in Peoria. Its mission is to “empower our community to reach their fullest potential through all life stages” by offering resources and education.
