The Chicago Bears kicked off organized team activities this week at Halas Hall, including a Thursday practice that was open to the media and featured some notable highlights.
The Bears are coming off an 11-6 season, where they overachieved under first-year head coach Ben Johnson, winning the NFC North for the first time in eight years and winning their first playoff game in nearly two decades. Despite playing in a difficult division, there are high expectations for what Johnson’s squad can accomplish in Year 2, and they’re hard at work this offseason.
Following a closed practice on Wednesday, the media got a glimpse of the Bears during Thursday’s practice, and there were plenty of notable takeaways. Quarterback Caleb Williams, wide receivers Rome Odunze and Zavion Thomas and defensive end Austin Booker were standouts. The media also shared some quick video highlights from Thursday:

When will the Bears conduct OTAs?
The Bears will hold seven voluntary OTA practices from May 27-29 and June 2-4. That will be followed by veteran minicamp from June 9-11 before breaking for the summer.
