EAST PEORIA — The 2026 IESA Track and Field Championships played out at EastSide Centre over the last two weekends, with plenty of championship efforts from Peoria-area athletes and their seventh- and eighth-grade teams.
Here’s a look at the top performers from the Class 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A meets, with the best efforts from 14 area teams and 35 Peoria-area athletes.

The Eureka eighth grade boys won the Class 3A title.
On the eighth grade girls side, Morton Blessed Sacrament won the Class 1A title, followed by Peoria St. Jude and Washington St. Patrick.
Peoria St. Jude finished fourth among 59 teams in seventh grade boys Class 1A competition. Peoria Christian was 11th.
Pekin Rankin was third among 52 teams in seventh grade girls Class 1A competition. Washington St. Patrick was 17th.
The Brimfield girls finished tied for second in the 55-team Class 2A seventh grade field.
Metamora girls were fourth in seventh grade Class 3A.
Peoria St. Jude finished second among 48 teams in the eighth grade boys Class 1A battle. Norwood was fifth and Bartonville Monroe was 14th in eighth grade Class 1A.
The Brimfield boys eighth grade team finished 6th in boys Class 2A.
