Why a local Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce date spot just got ‘legend’ status

Harry’s and Adrienne’s Pizzabar in West Palm Beach are sharing billing with some of Florida’s most iconic dining institutions. Southern Living recently added the sibling restaurants that opened in 2023 to its list of the state’s most “legendary,” a group typically defined by decades of history and staying power.

The concepts are operated by restaurateurs Peter Poulakakos and his father, Harry Poulakakos, whose original Manhattan restaurant set the template.

For anyone familiar with the original Hanover Square location, the recognition feels less surprising than inevitable. The West Palm Beach outpost carries forward the same polished, old-school approach that made the New York City dining room a fixture across generations.

Harry’s restaurant: A Wall Street original, reimagined

Harry’s in West Palm Beach did not need time to find its audience. The New York-rooted restaurant arrived as a fully formed concept, grounded in classic hospitality and a clearly defined point of view.

Its CityPlace location is part of that equation. Set among office towers and within walking distance of the city’s growing financial corridor, the restaurant sits in a pocket of downtown where business and dining increasingly intersect.

Steaks are dry-aged in-house. The menu leans into classic, old-school preparations. Martinis are poured with precision. The approach centers on consistency, the kind of discipline that built its reputation in Lower Manhattan over decades.

The setting reinforces that lineage. The room feels refined without being rigid, where business dinners stretch into late evenings at the bar. It is a model that has long defined Manhattan’s power dining scene and is now taking hold in West Palm Beach.

That visibility extends beyond the dining room. During last summer’s stay in South Florida, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce visited when he rented a home in Boca Raton, adding to the steady buzz surrounding the restaurant.

A pizza spot built for repeat visits

Through a connecting corridor, Adrienne’s Pizzabar next door offers a different rhythm, one that feels more relaxed but just as intentional.

The concept built its following in Manhattan and made its West Palm Beach debut as its only location outside New York.

The name itself traces back to Adrienne, the late wife of Harry’s founder, giving the pairing of the two concepts an added sense of continuity and personal history.

Inside, the energy is lively and communal. Tables fill quickly, the bar stays active and regulars are easy to spot. It is the kind of place patrons return to without needing a reason, a pattern that often signals long-term appeal.

The menu reinforces that pull. The square pies anchor the experience, but it’s the weekend brunch pizza finished with egg that stands out as a must-order and a conversation starter at the table.

That pizza is simple, distinctive and exactly the kind of detail that turns first visits into repeat visits.

At least for me.
