Summer travel costs have increased substantially over the past year due to increasing fuel costs.
Gasoline of all types rose 28.4% between April 2025 and April 2026, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Airline fares shot up 26.7% in May compared to last year, according to Federal inflation data.
Those numbers look bleak, but there is some good news: you can still find plenty of cheap summer flights out of Pensacola to some of the most popular destinations of the season.
