Spring break and Good Friday will overlap next week for some Florida students.
Good Friday arrives April 3, which happens to be the last day of spring break in Indian River and Pasco counties.
Not all Florida schools will be closed on Good Friday, April 3. For students in 18 of Florida’s 67 counties, school will be in session.
Meanwhile, students in six counties are still waiting for their spring break, which won’t arrive until later in April.
As we head toward the end of the 2025-2026 school year, for students where school is still in session, everyone will be off for Memorial Day Monday, May 25. The last day of school ranges from May 22 to June 2.
Each individual district decides when to schedule school holidays.

Spring break, Good Friday overlap for students in 2 Florida counties
Students in two Florida counties will start their spring break on Monday, March 30. Including in the break is Good Friday on April 3.

Good Friday will be on Friday, April 3.
When is Easter 2026?
Easter follows Good Friday, and will be celebrated Sunday, April 5, this year.
Will Florida students be off for Good Friday?
Many students will be out of school on Friday, April 3, but in 18 counties, school will be open.
For students in a couple of counties, Good Friday occurs during their spring break.
