Are there detour directions?

Yes. Drivers on U.S. 27 who want to travel south on I‑75 can drive east on U.S. 27, then south on Northwest 27th Avenue, and then west on State Road 40 to access I‑75 southbound.

Drivers on State Road 40 who want access to the roadway should exit at State Road 200, or Exit 350, and travel east on SR 200. From there, drivers can turn north on Southwest 27th Avenue to reach SR 40.

FDOT officials said in a news release that the work is part of the Moving I‑75 Forward project, which covers more than 30 miles between State Road 44 in Sumter County and State Road 326 in Marion County. The project includes the addition of an auxiliary lane in both directions, multiple bridge replacements, and interchange improvements.
