The state on July 7 announced that Marion County Public Schools has raised its district grade from a C to a B.
The announcement was part of the state Department of Education’s release of school grades for 2024-25.
For Marion County elementary schools, including Fort McCoy School, 22 kept their grades the same from 2023-24, three improved their grades and seven dropped.
Six of Marion’s middle schools kept their grades the same, four improved, and one dropped.
Five of the high schools kept their grades the same and two improved. No school dropped.
According to a Marion County Public Schools news release, eight Marion schools earned A grades. That includes charter schools. There were no failing schools.
