Pine Ridge High School in Deltona sent 317 students across the finish line during commencement at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on May 30.
The graduating class had a 90% college and career acceleration rate, a measure of students who have completed coursework or earned credentials demonstrating readiness for postsecondary education, the workforce or military.
Scholars and high achievers
Of the Panthers, 62 earned scholar designations. Trevor Tanner was named valedictorian and Douglas Jett salutatorian. The class earned $1.2 million in scholarships.
College, career readiness
The Class of 2026 earned 251 industry scholar designations and eight associate of arts and associate of science degrees through dual enrollment. Of Pine Ridge’s seniors, 10 collected the Florida Seal of Biliteracy while 25 achieved the Florida Seal of Fine Arts.
Community, military service
Pine Ridge seniors amassed 22,344 community service hours. Twelve will enter the U.S. armed forces.
