Now You Know: Van Gogh, Monet ‘Immersive Experience’ comes to Estero

Explore Monet’s vibrant gardens and step inside Van Gogh’s swirling stars in this journey that brings the worlds of Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet to life through “cutting-edge projections, original soundscapes and world-class storytelling.”

Guests will discover surprises around every corner — from the Education Room and a multisensory immersive exhibit featuring hundreds of masterpieces to the interactive Creation Station — inviting audiences of all ages to unleash their inner artist.

“Through cutting-edge technology, this immersive experience is redefining what art means to people,” said Justin Paquin, president of exhibitions and theatrical. “It has elevated artwork to the next level, allowing audiences to develop deeper connections with notable masterpieces that were once unimaginable.”

Wonder Gardens to offer expert certification

Wonder Gardens is organizing the Florida Landscaping Expert Certification Program, which consists of four sessions, along with a single refresher course. This program is intended for individuals serving on an HOA landscaping committee, although all guests are invited.

The four sessions of the certification program are scheduled to occur from 9 a.m. until noon on Jan. 23, Jan. 30, Feb. 6, and Feb. 13. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. to allow participants to enjoy coffee and pastries on the patio.

The sessions will be conducted in the Tea House, with certain components of the course taking place in the gardens. Topics covered will include living in a subtropical climate, utilizing plants in landscaping, selecting the right plant for the right location, shrubs and trees, proper pruning techniques, palms, Florida statutes related to landscaping, the essentials of mulch, turf management, and irrigation.

The refresher course is tailored for individuals who have previously completed the certification course, aiming to enhance their knowledge and explore landscaping topics in greater depth. This class is scheduled for Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. until noon, with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. The topics will encompass irrigation, specimen plant selection and placement, as well as vertical planting, screening, and trellises.

The complete four-session certification program is priced at $85 for members of Wonder Gardens and $95 for non-members. The refresher course costs $35 for members and $40 for non-members. For further information or to register, please visit WonderGardens.org/FL-Landscaping-Certification-2026/.

Burrowing Owl Festival

Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife is extending an invitation to the community for the 24th Annual Burrowing Owl Festival Wildlife and Environmental Expo, which celebrates Cape Coral’s designated bird and the city’s distinctive wildlife.

The festival is set to occur from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, at Rotary Park in Cape Coral. This family-oriented event combines wildlife education, conservation efforts and interactive enjoyment while emphasizing the significance of safeguarding local habitats.

The festival will showcase beloved attractions such as Adam’s Animal Encounters, in addition to new vendors and exhibits. Participants will have the opportunity to witness live animal presentations, partake in guided wildlife and photography bus tours, explore butterfly house tours, listen to expert speakers, and visit a conservation expo featuring over 30 environmental organizations. The festival will also host arts and crafts vendors, food options, activities for children, and a silent auction that supports wildlife conservation.

A donation of $5 at the entrance is appreciated for attendees aged 12 and older.

CCFW’s Online Auction—featuring hundreds of items contributed by businesses nationwide—is currently live and will continue until March 1, providing another avenue to support wildlife conservation.
