The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off their biggest win, literally, of the year, where they won by a score of 30-19. It was the first time they did not have to score in the final minute of the game, and the team and fanbase most likely enjoyed it more that way.
And now, ahead of kick-off of their Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions, we wanted get in another Mock Draft Monday.
SirVocea Dennis has solidified himself as a liability in the unit. Whether it is in the run game or in pass coverage, he has proven to be unreliable for better or worse. What the Bucs did not account for was the 35-year-old version of Lavonte David to be the last productive year for the future Hall of Famer. He has struggled mightily in 2025, and while there is no one campaigning for him to be replaced, the future of the position is up for grabs.
That brings us to Mock Draft Monday and how we think the Bucs can fix the situation.
Round 1, Pick 31: Joshua Josephs, Edge, Tennessee
The Bucs will have a need at edge rusher as they will lose Haason Reddick one way or another it seems. To replace him would be in their best interest as we have seen what giving Yaya Diaby a partner to rush the quarterback can do for both of them. Joshua Josephs is explosive off the edge and has the physical build to be able to handle NFL tackles when drafted. Put him in a rotation with David Walker and let them both develop in 2026 and keep each other fresh in the process.
Round 2, Pick 63: Taurean York, LB, Texas A&M
We mentioned above the need the team will have at linebacker, and Taurean York is right down the Bucs alley. He is a bonafide leader and a monster in the Aggies defense. He has played with a chip on his shoulder ever since he arrived at College Station, and he can become a leader for the Bucs if he is drafted.
Round 3, Pick 95: Xavier Scott, CB, Illinois
Xavier Scott went down for the year with an injury so he is likely to fall in the draft as a result. We saw last year that Jason Licht has no problem taking chances on cornerbacks who are coming off an injury. Scott is a physical corner, has good ball skills, and is a reliable tackler to help with run support. All of those things the Bucs will need if Jamel Dean leaves after his contract restructure that has his contract ending at the end of the season.
Round 4, Pick 131: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, SAF, Toledo
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren has become a darling in the draft community and the Bucs need perhaps just one more piece in the secondary. Tykee Smith has been a fun piece at the safety position, but adding McNeil-Warren to the fold could allow him or Smith to become a piece that Bowles is more flexible with.
Round 5, Pick 170: Tim Keenan III, DL, Alabama
The Bucs wanted to give Vita Vea a behemoth of a tag team paertner this year when they added Desmond Watson. However, that didn’t pan out so they could give it another go with Tim Keenan. He has been injured following an ankle procedure. He is a run stuffer and someone the team can use in goal line situations until they develop more into his game.
Round 6, Pick 209: Kyle Louis, LB, Pittsburgh
The Bucs can use the depth at linebacker and Kyle Louis is someone who can offer some coverage opportunities. He is undersized but he makes up for it with his size and instincts at the position as he closes ground quickly and is someone who could be a valuable piece in the Bucs defense.
Round 7, Pick 244: Josh Cuevas, TE, Alabama
Cade Otton is heading into the last year of his contract, and perhaps the team brings him back on a short term deal. Adding someone like Cuevas behind him would give them someone with some receiving ability instead of just blocking as they currently have.
