FSU softball vs Georgia Tech live updates: The game is in a rain delay

The No. 1-seeded Florida State Seminoles are set to play their first game of the ACC Softball Tournament on Thursday against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. It is nearly time for the game to start at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.

FSU is looking to win its 20th ACC Tournament Championship after going 46-8 in the regular season, including a 21-3 mark in conference play. They are on a three-game winning streak after sweeping the Boston College Eagles to end the regular season and earn the outright championship.

They have had great success in the ACC Tournament under head coach Lonni Alameda, going 39-7 and winning nine championships. Their last title was in 2023, and another one could provide a nice boost to their resume as they push for a better seed in the NCAA Softball Tournament.
