The Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes will battle it out in the winner’s bracket of the 2026 Gainesville Regional on Saturday night. Follow along here for live updates and the score, along with highlights from college baseball’s postseason action.
The Gators opened up play on Friday afternoon with an 8-7 comeback win over the Rider Broncs. Florida took a 4-0 lead into the eighth inning, but a six-run outburst by the Broncs made things interesting — maybe a little too interesting — before the Orange and Blue walked it off in the ninth on a Brendan Lawson home run.
The Hurricanes beat the Troy Trojans, 10-5, in a rain-delayed affair that did not wrap up until nearly 2 a.m. ET on Saturday morning. Florida has already beaten Miami twice this season down in Coral Gables and just barely holds the edge in the all-time series, 133-132-1.
