Florida baseball is in need of a spark entering the final month of the 2026 regular season.
The No. 25 Florida Gators (29-16, 11-10 SEC) will look to get all of three phases of their game clicking at the same time when they play an important SEC series at No. 15 Oklahoma (29-14, 11-10 SEC).
Florida is looking for its defense to provide better support for its pitching, as the Gators have committed five errors over their last four games. UF is 1-3 in that stretch.
“I am just worried about our team and how we can improve,” Florida baseball coach Kevin O’Sullivan said. “I am not looking at it any other way.”
Oklahoma is 18-5 at home this season. The Sooners have batted .280/.390/.460 this season backed by 46 home runs and 93 steals in 111 attempts
On the mound, OU’s pitchers have worked to a 4.63 ERA, .224 batting average against and 432-to-182 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Defensively, the Sooners are solid, with a .979 fielding percentage.
“They are gonna be a handful,” O’Sullivan said. “They can pitch, they can play defense and they run the bases extremely aggressively.”
