More than ten thousand graduates will be recognized this weekend over the course of eight ceremonies.
Inside the Tucker Civic Center, Florida State University will award nearly 9,000 degrees — 6,732 bachelor’s degrees, 1,523 master’s and specialist degrees and 261 doctoral degrees — during the five commencement ceremonies taking place.
The Seminoles will hear from Daniel Perez, speaker of the Florida House of Representatives; Sara Blakely, inventor, philanthropist and founder of Spanx and Sneex; and Lt. Gen. Sean M. Farrell, deputy commanding general of U.S. Special Operations Command.
Down the street at the Al Lawson Center, Florida A&M University will confer approximately 1,500 graduates during three ceremonies.
The Rattlers will hear wisdom and advice from two keynote speakers — Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America President and CEO Thasunda Brown Duckett and FAMU Alumnus Omar Goff, End-to-End Commercial Leader for Head & Shoulders, North America.
