FSU baseball vs. Pitt live updates: Game is in a weather delay

The  No. 12 Florida State Seminoles will play the Pitt Panthers on Friday at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida, and it is nearly time for the first pitch.

FSU (30-14, 12-9 ACC) is looking to get back on track after getting swept by the Stanford Cardinal last weekend. They beat the USF Bulls 9-1 on Wednesday to regain some momentum. They have been excellent at home all season, going 21-3.

They are currently tied for fourth in the ACC standings, putting them on the cusp of earning a double bye in the ACC tournament, which is just nine more ACC games to play. Their loss at home came back on March 29, when they fell to the Duke Blue Devils.

Pitt (28-15, 10-11) is coming into the game with some momentum, having won four of its past five games and sweeping the Virginia Cavaliers over the weekend, scoring 7+ runs in all three games and making quite a statement against one of the better teams in the country. They did lose their midweek against Kent State.

FSU is 29-8 all-time against Pitt, including a 26-5 record in Tallahassee. The Panthers won the series last season at home, with FSU winning the series in 2023 when they hosted.
