The Miami Dolphins announced six players are team captains in 2025, including a pair of players who were signed by the team last year.
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, center Aaron Brewer, fullback Alec Ingold, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, defensive lineman Zach Sieler, and pass rusher Bradley Chubb will all wear a “C” on their jersey in 2025.
Tagovailoa, Ingold, and Sieler all had the honor last season, while it’s a first for Brewer, Brooks, and Chubb with the Dolphins. Chubb was a captain with the Denver Broncos in 2022 before he was traded to Miami mid-season, and Brewer was a Tennessee Titans captain in 2023.
Notably absent from the list of team captains is wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who had the honor in his first three years with the Dolphins. But after pulling himself out of Miami’s Week 18 game last season and issuing a pseudo-trade request, Hill told reporters in May that he didn’t expect to have the honor in 2025.
“I don’t feel like I deserve [to be captain] and if I didn’t get it, I wouldn’t dwell on it, I wouldn’t sweat it, because I put myself in that position,” Hill said.
