EA Sports has unveiled its annual “Toughest Places to Play” rankings for College Football 27, and four ACC programs earned spots among the top 25 most difficult road environments in the nation. Among ACC schools, Clemson’s Memorial Stadium received the highest ranking, checking in at No. 9 nationally. Known as one of college football’s most iconic venues, Death Valley has long been considered one of the toughest places for visiting teams to play and remains the conference’s highest-rated stadium in the game.
Florida State was the second-highest ACC program on the list, with Doak Campbell Stadium coming in at No. 21 overall. Home to the Seminoles since 1950, Doak Campbell Stadium’s inclusion reinforces the venue’s reputation as one of college football’s premier atmospheres and one of the most challenging destinations for visiting teams in College Football 27.
Just behind Florida State was Virginia Tech’s Lane Stadium at No. 22. The Blacksburg venue is widely known for its pregame entrance and energetic game-day atmosphere, earning another appearance among EA Sports’ toughest environments.
NC State rounded out the ACC’s representation with Carter-Finley Stadium ranked No. 23 nationally. The Wolfpack’s home field has become one of the more underrated venues in the conference and was recognized by EA Sports as one of the top home-field advantages in the country.
