Vote | Which High Desert team had the best championship season?

The 2025-26 school year delivered one of the most memorable championship runs in High Desert sports history.

Barstow football became the first High Desert team to win a CIF State football championship, capping a historic postseason run that included CIF-Southern Section and regional titles.

The Victor Valley boys basketball team ended a drought that stretched back more than seven decades, becoming the first High Desert boys basketball team since 1953 to win a CIF-Southern Section championship.

Riverside Prep softball completed a remarkable season by winning the program’s first CIF-Southern Section title and adding a CIF State regional championship.

We can’t quite crown one of these achievements as the best. So we will leave that up to our readers.

We’ve created a reader poll featuring these three teams. Vote for the championship team that impressed you most during the 2025-26 school year.

Voting will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 22. The winning team will be announced shortly after the poll closes.
