A 52-year-old Victorville woman died at a hospital Thursday after she was severely injured in a two-vehicle crash four days earlier, authorities said.
Veronica Correa succumbed to her injuries at Loma Linda Hospital University Medical Center on June 4, according to San Bernardino County coroner’s records.
The crash took place about 9 a.m. Sunday, May 31, in a residential neighborhood at Eleventh and Cypress avenues in Victorville.
Correa was driving a Honda Civic that collided with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck in the left-hand, southbound lane of Eleventh Avenue at the intersection, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said at the time in a written statement.

“The driver of the Toyota Tundra, an adult male, resident of Victorville, cooperated with investigators,” according to the statement.
Further details regarding the circumstances and cause of the collision were not available.
‘Truly the life of the party’
Family members expressed devastation at the sudden loss in a statement accompanying a fundraiser established to aid the family on GoFundMe.com.
“Vero was truly the life of the party,” niece Evennie Rodriguez wrote. “She had a way of making everyone laugh, bringing people together, and filling every room with warmth, joy, and energy. She was funny, compassionate, and always willing to help anyone in need without hesitation. Her love for her family and friends was evident in everything she did, and she touched countless lives through her kindness and generosity.”
“Our hearts are broken, and life will never be the same without her,” the niece added. “We will forever cherish the laughter, love, and beautiful memories she gave us. Thank you for continuing to support our family during this incredibly painful time and for helping us celebrate the remarkable person Vero was.”
