New 7 Brew coffee shops planned for Rochester area

Another wave of 7 Brew drive-thru coffee shops is on the way for the Rochester area.

The grand opening of 7 Brew at 1968 Empire Blvd., Penfield, is July 13. As part of a soft opening, it will host a Caffeine for a Cause weekend July 3 through 5, with proceeds going to Golisano Children’s Hospital.

The Empire Boulevard location will be the fourth 7 Brew in this market.

Regular hours are 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

An application also has been made to put a 7 Brew at 2130 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road in Penfield.

Where has 7 Brew opened in the Rochester area?

7 Brew entered the Rochester market in September 2025 and operates shops at:

∎ 6517 Brockport-Spencerport Road in the town of Sweden, near Brockport.

∎ 2833 West Ridge Road, Greece, in Ridgemont Plaza.

∎ 160 Eastern Blvd., Canandaigua.

Where does 7 Brew plan to open next?

Construction of another location at 830 Jefferson Road, Henrietta, the old Sticky Lips BBQ Joint property, is underway.

The town also has approved plans for a 7 Brew at 2599 East Henrietta Road in the former Beers of the World plaza, but work there has not started.

A proposal for a 7 Brew at 850 East Ridge Road, Irondequoit, was approved by the town’s Planning Board June 22, according to Bill Lang, Irondequoit’s director of community development.

The parcel formerly was home to Mochinut, Nashville Spicy Chicken and Mongolian BBQ.

It is 7 Brew’s hope to have the project completed by early to mid-September, Lang said.

What is 7 Brew?

Founded and based in Arkansas, 7 Brew is a drive-thru-only chain of beverage stands.

The company prefabricates its buildings in Springfield, Missouri, and trucks them to their locations.

The shops don’t have interior or exterior seating or drive-thru speaker boxes. Baristas greet and serve customers at their cars and take orders on tablets.

The stands also don’t serve food, just drinks, of which there are more 20,000 possibilities across seven categories: coffee, energy drinks, soda, tea, lemonade, smoothies and shakes.

The business was founded in 2017 and currently has more than 700 locations across 38 states. New York is home to 19 of them.
