An all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi restaurant is coming to Jonesville.
Tamaya Sushi and Grill is preparing to enter the former home of Copper Money next to Mi Apá Latin Café, 14209 W. Newberry Road.
This will be the restaurant’s second location, with the first having opened in May 2025 at 3102 SW 34th St.
Choose from a selection of of hibachi and teriyaki dishes, poke bowls, sushi, sashimi and more. Feeling extra hungry or just want to try a little of everything? Opt for all you can eat — $18.99 for lunch, $25.99 for dinner.
This option includes appetizers like edamame, egg rolls and fried dumplings, soups and salads, rice, noodle and hibachi dishes and, of course, some of the restaurant’s most popular sushi rolls.
The Rock N Roll comes with krab meat, cream cheese, cucumber, tempura shrimp and eel sauce,
A deluxe dinner option runs $33.99 and includes more specialty rolls such as the Black Dragon Roll, which is eel over a shrimp tempura roll and topped with eel sauce, and the Lobster Roll, tempura lobster with cucumber, avocado and eel sauce.
Be sure to eat what you order. In an effort to reduce waste, the restaurant charges 75 cents per piece of sushi left on your plate.
The 34th Street location is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5 to 9:30 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 1 1 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5 to 10:30 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 9 p.m.
Popular rolls, accoridng to its website, include the Dynamite Roll, which includes salmon, krab, and aspargus and is deep fried and topped with eel sauce, hot sauce and mayo.
The Sunset Roll includes spicy salmon with cucumber and is topped with salmon, avocado, sweet chili and spicy mayo.
All you can eat option – dinner – $25.99, lunch is $18.99
