Meanwhile, Councilwoman Leslie Irving voted no on the appointment of Mora, due to “concerns about partisanship”

Councilwoman Mora has served as a field representative for Rep. Jay Obernolte.

After serving the citizens of Victorville for nearly seven years, Councilwoman Debra Jones permanently and officially stepped down due to a family crisis, she told the Daily Press.

After Mora was seated, the city council proceeded with the annual nomination and voting process among the council. Becerra and Harriman retain their titles until December 2026.
