Deputies are seeking two masked men who robbed a vendor at gunpoint while the victim was selling chocolate at an Adelanto shopping center on Monday, authorities said.
The crime took place about 11:30 a.m. April 13 as the victim, a man, was selling the sweets in the 14100 block of Highway 395, just north of Palmdale Road, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials and records.
Two men wearing ski masks approached the victim and demanded his money, agency spokeswoman Jenny Smith said.
“The victim refused and one of the suspects pushed the victim while the other displayed what appeared to be a handgun from his waistband,” she said. “The suspects grabbed the victim’s property and fled the location in a white sedan and were last seen on Palmdale Road.
Smith said the robbers fled with both cash and chocolate.
No further details were available as the investigation continued Monday afternoon.
