ZURICH, May 13 (Reuters) – The United States has informed Switzerland that deliveries of its Patriot missile system will be further delayed and become more expensive due to the Iran war, the Swiss government said on Wednesday.
Switzerland is reviewing options proposed by the United States for the purchase and is keeping payments to Washington on hold for the time being, the government added.
“All options would lead to delivery delays as well as substantial additional costs,” the government said, specifying that a delay of five to seven years is now to be expected.
