Countdown to kickoff is back! USC will kick off its 2026 football season on August 29 when the Trojans host San Jose State at the Coliseum. In this series, we will be counting down the days until the season opener by highlighting a notable Trojan who wore each number.
Today, we look at former USC kicker Alex Stadthaus.
Position: Kicker
Years played at USC: 2018-2022
Career highlights: Stadthaus served as USC’s kickoff specialist for the majority of his time with the Trojans.bIn 2021, he also attempted six field goals and 10 extra points, making all of his attempts. His career-long was a 40-yarder in a 41-34 victory over Arizona that year.
After USC: After graduating from USC, Stadthaus went down a completely different path—he got his pilot’s license. He has worked as a flight instructor since 2023 and currently serves as a first officer for PSA Airlines.
