A Thousand Oaks man died after a solo-vehicle collision along Highway 23 in Moorpark early April 17.
Officers with the California Highway Patrol arrived at the northbound Highway 23 off-ramp around 1:14 a.m. after receiving reports of the crash, said CHP Officer Ryan Ayers.

An investigation into the crash found that a 33-year-old man from Thousand Oaks had been driving a black Volkswagen Jetta on the off-ramp when he made an “unsafe turning movement,” Ayers said.
The vehicle subsequently hit a sign and a tree, causing his car to overturn with him inside, the CHP officer said.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the crash and pronounced the man dead on the scene.
The CHP’s Moorpark-area office is investigating the crash, and it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
