Across the street from Condron Ballpark, Florida softball will also host Auburn this weekend.
The competition at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium should favor the orange and blue in a much bigger way.

The Tigers of softball have struggled to gain traction this season. Auburn has lost 12 consecutive SEC games – that’s four consecutive sweeps. Yes, the schedule has been daunting. AU got swept at Oklahoma, at Arkansas and vs. Alabama. All three of those teams are ranked in the top six in the country, but the Tigers also got swept at home by Missouri – a team Florida swept earlier this season.
The Gators, meanwhile, are coming off a sweep of their own over South Carolina. Florida outscored the Gamecocks 26-3, including a no-hitter from Keagan Rothrock.
Another sweep from UF this weekend will help its SEC record and further put the squad in a position to host a Super Regional.
Auburn has scored a combined two runs in its last two SEC series and its team batting average of .197 in conference games ranks last in the conference. Its team ERA of 7.08 isn’t much better as it comes in at third worst in the SEC behind Kentucky and Ole Miss.
