Teen wounded in foot in Adelanto shooting

Gunfire erupted during a brawl in Adelanto over the weekend, leaving a 17-year-old boy with a minor injury to his foot, law enforcement officials said.

The shooting took place about 10:40 p.m. Saturday, June 13, in the 11300 block of El Mirage Road, San Bernardino County, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials and logs.

Deputies received reports of “multiple gunshots heard in the area,” sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.

When investigators arrived, they discovered multiple fired cartridge casings and a vehicle with several bullet holes. A 17-year-old boy suffered a “minor injury to his foot” and was treated at a local hospital, sheriff’s officials said..

Investigators learned the shots were fired during a fight between several people.

“The suspect fled the area before deputies arrived, “the statement added. “The investigation remains ongoing.
