Former Warriors assistant still considered for Mavericks coaching vacancy

Former Warriors assistant coach Terry Stotts departed from Golden State after two years working behind head coach Steve Kerr. A former NBA head coach for 13 seasons between the Hawks, Bucks and Trail Blazers, Stotts is looking for another head coaching gig. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, Stotts is still being considered for the Dallas Mavericks coaching vacancy following the departure of Jason Kidd.

Stotts has experience working with Dallas, spending four seasons as an assistant coach there from 2008 to 2012, a part of their 2011 championship run. In addition to Stotts, Timberwolves assistant Micah Nori and Rockets assistant Royal Ivey are also in consideration.
