The Los Angeles Rams will take the field for their first preseason game of 2025 on Saturday when they host the Dallas Cowboys at SoFi Stadium. Each team is required to release an unofficial depth chart before the start of the preseason and on Wednesday, the Rams put theirs out.
It’s worth noting that this depth chart isn’t put together by a coach or front office member, but rather a member of the media team. As a result, it has to be taken with a grain of salt because it’s not as if this is Sean McVay listing starters and backups.
There are no major surprises on the Rams’ initial depth chart, with just about all of the starters being the players who have been projected to start all along. Here’s a look at the offense, defense and special teams.

It is worth noting that there’s only one “OR” listing on the depth chart, which indicates players are splitting time as the starter. That’s at cornerback where Ahkello Witherspoon and Cobie Durant are co-starters, with Darious Williams being the other starting cornerback. Emmanuel Forbes Jr. is the other backup, so he’s ahead of Derion Kendrick and the other corners.
Also of note is Terrance Ferguson being the fourth-string tight end behind Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen. That’s no cause for concern, especially considering Ferguson is injured, but it shows his impact may not be significant early on in the year.
On special teams, Xavier Smith seems to have the edge at punt returner over Britain Covey, with Jordan Whittington and Blake Corum duking it out as kick returners.
