North Gene Autry Trail was reopened at the wash Saturday morning following an overnight closure due to low visibility and sand buildup, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
The road’s reopening was announced shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday. The road was initially closed around 10 p.m. Friday, when wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour were possible in the area, according to the National Weather Service.
