NFL announces key dates for hectic month of March next offseason

With the 2026 season beginning and ending one week later than usual, the offseason calendar next year is going to be jam-packed. The NFL announced key dates for next offseason, which include a hectic month of March with almost no downtime.

The NFL Scouting Combine will take place from March 1-8 in Indianapolis next year, followed immediately by the start of free agency on March 9. Less than two weeks later, the annual owners meetings will take place in Phoenix from March 21-24.

Typically, there is a week between the end of the combine and the start of free agency, but that won’t be the case next offseason. The Super Bowl is a week later than usual, taking place on Feb. 14, 2027. For comparison, this year’s Super Bowl was on Feb. 8.

Additionally, the trade deadline will be Nov. 10, and the draft is taking place from April 29-May 1 in Washington, D.C.

The Rams aren’t at all concerned with next offseason at the moment, and are solely focused on the start of training camp less than two weeks from now on July 25.
