The Los Angeles Rams have a lot of depth at inside linebacker, but that’s not necessarily a good thing.
This was a unit that plagued the team all year, they made a few adjustments between swapping Christian Rozeboom for Nate Landman, drafting Chris Paul Jr. in the fifth round, promoting Omar Speights to starter and keeping Troy Reeder.
That might not be enough in the competitive NFC West, though. This division features some great linebackers that knock the Rams down a peg in our positional rankings.
4. Los Angeles Rams
The middle of the Rams’ defense is a major flaw. Speights looked good as the season progressed, but Troy Reeder is an aging veteran with injury concerns and Landman was a fairly underwhelming free-agent addition. The backups aren’t much better, though rookie Chris Paul Jr. could surprise.
3. Arizona Cardinals
Wilson was a great full-time starter for Arizona in 2024 after bouncing around the league. Davis-Gaither, who came from the Bengals, was also a great second-half starter for Cincinnati.
2. Seattle Seahawks
Jones got a massive deal after he joined the Seahawks midway through last season and Knight came on strong at the end of his rookie season
1. San Francisco 49ers
Warner is in a class of his own with seven consecutive seasons of at least 75 solo tackles. Winters is still developing, but he took on a bigger role in his second season in 2024.
