Forward progress of the fire was stopped at 3:28 p.m. and resources were expected to remain on the scene for three to four hours, as firefighters worked on full containment, Cal Fire said in one of its final updates on the fire.

It was one of several fires that have erupted throughout Southern California in the last few days, including ones near Homeland, Riverside and Angeles National Forest.
