After an impressive rookie campaign, Quinten Post entered the 2025-26 season hoping to make a notable jump in his sophomore season. The Dutch center played in 25 more games than his rookie season, making 35 starts while averaging 17.3 minutes per game.
In those games, Post tallied near-identical numbers to his first year, averaging 7.7 points, four rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.5 blocks and 0.4 steals. The biggest drop-off in Post’s production came from the 3-point line where his percentage went from 40.8% to 33.6%. Unfortunately for Post, a foot injury kept him sidelined toward the end of the season, ending his year prematurely. There was optimism that Post could have returned for Round 1 of the NBA playoffs, but the Warriors fell just short. Considering Golden State was dealing with many frontcourt injuries at this time, Post could’ve used the extra opportunity as a chance to break out had he been healthy. Post’s future with the team will be in jeopardy this summer as the 26-year-old 7-footer will be a restricted free agent.
