Firefighters said they found heavy smoke in a large building at the dealership in the 6400 block of Auto Center Drive when they arrived at the scene of the blaze reported around 11:30 p.m.

Firefighters located the fire burning in the small office and extinguished it, according to a news release from the Ventura Fire Department. Personnel remained on scene for an additional two hours to ensure the blaze was completely out and to deal with affected areas of the building, officials said.

There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters during the incident, the news release said. No estimate of damage was provided.

About three dozen personnel from the Ventura and Oxnard city fire departments and the Ventura County Fire Department were involved in the response, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
